Question by morocker13: Does anyone know a less expensive alternative to engagement ring brands Tacori or Ritani?
I really love the look of these brands, but couldn’t care less about whether or not I have a designer name ring. I’d much prefer a knock off as long as I do not sacrifice durability and looks. Anyone found a good generic alternative with the same beautiful/tasteful vintage design?

Suggest you contact online jewelers for customizing the exactly same ones for you. It can save you much money if you really prefer Tacori or Ritanis. Or just search for engagement rings through google, you would find lots of rings for this kind.
I know this won’t exactly answer your question, so I apologize right off the bat.
BUT….
Speaking of vintage, here’s what my husband and I did.
I had my maw-maw’s engagement ring already. She had given it to me when I was a little girl because she could no longer wear it (her fingers were swollen and she couldn’t afford to have it sized and she wanted to pass it down in the family anyway) It is a BEAUTIFUL vintage white gold ring with three diamonds in it. Anyway… he brought that ring to his aunt (his mother passed away when he was young) and asked his aunt if she had any of his mother’s rings that would match that we could use as a wedding band.. and what do you know, she did! His aunt found a white gold ring that looked like a perfect match with three small diamond across the top of it. It was like it was meant to be! So My husband took these old rings to be sized and cleaned up and that’s how I got my wedding set. It is vintage and we didn’t have to spend a cent, except for the cleaning and sizing. Also it has great sentimental value, as each ring came from each side of our families.
Maybe you could look into your families and see if there are any old rings that someone may be willing to part with?
Another good idea, though lacking in sentimental value- is pawn shops! They ALWAYS have wedding sets and engagements rings available cheap!
good luck!!!!
